VIP Packaging – Access To Air Conditioners

The project involved the design and deployment of customised platforms and ladder access.

VIP Packaging is a manufacturing plant within a saw tooth building that was built around 1960. Access was required to service the evaporative air-conditioners that are located on the roof.

Workplace Access & Safety designed, fabricated and installed rung type access ladders leading to the roof. The overall height exceeded 6 meters, requiring the installation of midway landing platforms and cages.

A levelled walkway (catwalk) and guardrail system leads from the access points to the mechanical plant. Custom working platforms around the plant, providing access to all of the serviceable areas like filters and electrical components requiring service.
